Sunmisola Agbebi – Profile

Sunmisola Elizabeth Agbebi Okeleye, professionally known as Sunmisola Agbebi, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and worship leader.
She was born in Lagos State and began singing at a very young age. Sources consistently report that she performed publicly as a child and later participated in singing competitions. In 2017, she won the Ikorodu Radio Music Challenge, an achievement that provided early recognition for her vocal ability.
Her professional recording career began in 2020 with the release of “Amazing.”
She gained much wider recognition with “Koseunti,” released in the early 2020s. The song, built around a Yoruba worship expression, became a major breakthrough in her career and helped introduce her to a much larger Nigerian gospel audience.
Her subsequent catalogue includes songs such as “B’Ola,” “My Daddy, My Daddy,” “Aileyipada,” “Yeshua,” “Amazing,” and other worship recordings.
Sunmisola also developed the AIIIH — As It Is In Heaven worship-concert concept, through which she has presented live worship experiences.
Her career received further international attention in February 2025, when Spotify selected her as its EQUAL Africa Artist of the Month. Around the same period, The Guardian reported that she had become the first female Afro-gospel artist to surpass one million monthly Spotify listeners.
In 2025, she released The Glory, a nine-track project centered on worship, faith and devotion.
Sunmisola is married to fellow gospel artist Yinka Okeleye. Their marriage took place in 2023.
Her music combines contemporary gospel with Yoruba-rooted worship and has helped establish her as one of the prominent younger female voices in Nigerian gospel music.
